Seed Bank
Dear Friends:
I am not going to beat around the "bush" - even though there is a seed shortage in North America, do not purchase seeds from anyone you don't know, especially online or through the mail.
The seed shortage I mentioned stems from the fact that the highest quality Cannabis product grown, usually doesn't contain seeds. As such, a market for 'seeds' is great. I have read of people paying $10 and $15 a seed. I ask myself, why would they do that?
Personally, I would not be concerned about the postal authorities. What I would be concerned about is an old Consumer Ripoff tactic called the "BAIT AND SWITCH".
This well known ripoff is simple: promise something, then deliver something else that's close. In most instances, you often can tell, but here, how can you? The only way you can is by DNA and genetics. As of today, zero Cannabis plants in the world have been registered - at least 'publicly' - (who knows what the government and private R&D have stashed away).
That means that when someone promises you the "best thing since sliced bread," its probably too good to be true. Sad part is that quite often, you don't find out about the "quality of the plant" until after you grow it. This is something the "Bait and Switchers" bank on.... and yes, make bank on.
What compounds the problem is that quite often, you purchase something from someone overseas. When you do that, you have practically zero recourse. As such, when you have to, you should always purchase domestically.
I am going to close this page by saying the following: We are in the process of establishing a 'seed bank' where we will not only register and store seeds, but sell them. This will only happen when we can verify the plants genetics, and verification will come based on established scientific criteria.
